Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 25, 2026

These Terms & Conditions ('Terms') govern the use of the website robindev.in and any web/software development services provided by Robin Singhal ('I', 'me', 'my'), a freelance web and software developer. By engaging my services or using this Website, you ('Client', 'you') agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By contacting me for a project, accepting a quotation or proposal, or making a payment for services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms, together with the specific quotation, proposal or agreement issued for your project.

2. Scope of Services

I provide freelance web and software development services, which may include:

  • Website Development
  • Web Application Development
  • Full-Stack Development
  • Frontend Development
  • Backend Development
  • E-commerce Development
  • API Development & Integration
  • Website Maintenance & Support

The exact services, deliverables and scope for a specific engagement will be defined in a written quotation, proposal, email agreement, or statement of work ('Project Agreement') shared with you before work begins. In case of any conflict, the specific Project Agreement takes precedence over these general Terms.

3. Quotations, Proposals & Pricing

Quotations and proposals are estimates based on the requirements shared at the time and may change if the scope changes. Pricing, currency and applicable taxes for a project are specified in the relevant Project Agreement or invoice and are not fixed by these Terms.

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms — including any advance payment, milestone-based payments, or full upfront payment — will be specified in the applicable quotation, proposal or invoice for your project, as these vary depending on project size, duration and client relationship. Payments may be made via bank transfer, UPI, or another mutually agreed payment method/payment gateway. Work on a project stage may be paused until the payment due for that stage is received.

5. Client Responsibilities

To enable timely delivery, you agree to:

  • Provide clear requirements, timely feedback, and approvals at each stage of the project;
  • Provide all content, text, images, logos, credentials and other assets required for the project ('Client-Provided Content'), and confirm that you have the right to use them;
  • Provide access to any domain, hosting, third-party accounts, or systems required to complete or deploy the project, where applicable;
  • Respond to queries within a reasonable time to avoid project delays.

6. Domain, Hosting & Third-Party Services

Unless explicitly included in the Project Agreement, domain registration, hosting, SSL certificates, and similar third-party infrastructure are the Client's responsibility, either self-managed or arranged by me on the Client's behalf and at the Client's cost. Any premium themes, plugins, libraries, APIs, or software licenses required for the project ('Third-Party Products') are subject to their own vendor terms and charges, which are separate from and in addition to my service fees unless otherwise agreed.

7. Revisions

Reasonable revisions during a project are welcomed as part of the development and feedback process. The number of revision rounds included, and the point at which additional revisions may incur extra charges, will be defined in the applicable Project Agreement, as this varies by project size and complexity.

8. Project Timelines & Client-Caused Delays

Estimated project timelines will be communicated in the Project Agreement. Timelines depend on the timely receipt of Client-Provided Content, feedback and approvals. Delays caused by the Client — including late content, delayed feedback, delayed payments, or scope changes — may extend the delivery timeline accordingly and are not treated as a delay on my part.

9. Intellectual Property & Source Code Ownership

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, ownership of the custom source code and deliverables developed specifically for your project transfers to you upon full and final payment for that project. Until full payment is received, all work-in-progress deliverables, source code and materials remain my property.

This does not extend to any Third-Party Products (such as premium themes, plugins, libraries, stock assets, or open-source components) used in the project, which remain governed by their respective owners' licenses. I also retain the right to reuse general programming knowledge, non-confidential techniques, and reusable code utilities that are not specific or confidential to your project.

10. Final Handover

On successful completion and full payment, I will provide the agreed final deliverables, which may include the deployed website/application, source code, repository access, relevant credentials, and basic documentation, as applicable to your project.

11. Confidentiality

I treat project details, business information, and any credentials shared with me as confidential, and will not disclose them to unrelated third parties except where necessary to deliver the agreed services (for example, to a third-party API or hosting provider required for the project) or where required by law.

12. Limitation of Liability

Services are provided on a professional best-effort basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of the delivered website/application, third-party service outages, or issues arising from Client-Provided Content or third-party products outside my control. My total liability for a project is limited to the amount actually paid by the Client for that project.

13. Cancellation, Refunds & Termination

Cancellation and refund terms are described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Either party may terminate an engagement in writing if the other party is in material breach of the Project Agreement and fails to remedy it within a reasonable time after being notified.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or a Project Agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

15. Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision. Continued engagement of my services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
